Written by Kathie Dickerson Staff Writer Apr 17, 2011| COSHOCTON -- Heinz-Gustav Reisser developed an appreciation for the environment while working on land his parents have owned for more than 30 years. It fueled the Conesville-area resident's drive to find a solution for two issues plaguing Americans and the world: dependence on foreign oil and concern about fuel emissions degrading air quality. After seven years of development, Reisser has built a car powered by diesel that gets about 200 miles per gallon when driven at 70 mph. "To be honest, I just love cars, and I wanted to help the general public," said Reisser, chief executive officer of Niama- Reisser LLC. The NR-1 Supermileage Vehicle made its debut in March at the Geneva Auto Convention in Geneva, Switzerland.
