"Watchmen", was originally the title of this blog posting, which made me think... "I am without a doubt, the only person to entitle a blog that way... ever, or at least in the past couple of month's".
Well, it started out as the Friday morning, March the 6th 12:01a.m. showing... then after much discussion and logistical analysis, we came to rock solid conclusion, which best suited everybody - 10:15a.m. showing of Watchmen in IMAX, I bought the tickets ahead of time at movietickets.com, which is my usual method of avoiding lines/hassles at the theater anymore.
Tony says :
I love the movie. It was true to the graphic novel's story (other than one or two non-key plot points) and it was very similar to what I imagined scenes looking like in my head, when reading it. I couldn't ask for more. I would have never imagined so many scenes could "come-to-life", as if they jumped off the pages and were moving and talking! It was amazing! I am poised to see it again, with Monica this week... I am guessing Tuesday, soon after 5p.m. I will undoubtedly pay to see this movie in theaters many times and buy every version that comes out on Blu-ray. In the end, I am guessing I will hand over about $100 for the movie adaptation of the graphic novel that I got for free. We'll call it even in the end, since that is what we as consumers do - pay for our own enlightenment and entertainment. Like Blake said - "...it's all just a big joke anyway"
By the way, if you haven't read the graphic novel, I suggest you do so before you read any further.
P.S. - If I didn't mention it... I saw Governor Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger there too.
Anyone want some pain flavored Dorito's?
I love the Japanese!
For Watchmen fans - Adrian Veidt is behind it all.
More later!
