HILLIARD, Ohio — A group of Columbus police officers are being credited with saving a woman who was trapped inside a burning car early Thursday morning.
The rescue happened shortly before 2 a.m. in the 6000 block of Roberts Road, 10TV's Shayla Reaves reported.
Yuri Daikizono apparently fell asleep while driving and crashed into a guardrail. The impact caused the car to land on its side near a small creek. According to police, officers inside a Columbus police helicopter noticed the flames from the air and directed authorities on the ground to the crash.
A group of Columbus officers were the first to arrive, Reaves reported.
