The story, from what I can gather, is about a Japanese only marketing effort by Doritos... black corn, chili-taco flavoured chips called "Tights-kun Doritos" or "Mr. Bodysuit Doritos." The Tights-kun refers to a web-comic character, whose homepage you can check out by clicking here. You can check out the blog (also all in Japanese) here , to find more odd pictures of this tightly clothed marketing focus.
Below is a set of the four proposed bag designs, which have since become a collectors item, according to Google results.

Taitsukun or "Mr. Bodysuit" in English, is a pair of trademarked Japanese cartoon characters. These two guys, brimming over with love, seem to express themselves better in body language than in words. The character in yellow tights is Pierre, who's fickle and lacks patience and the one in orange is Jonathan, who is meticulous and never loses his cool.
Japanese illustration designer, Jun Takahashi of Sui Sui, Ltd., does all the artwork while Hiroyuki Matsuoka, the president of the company, writes all the catch phrases for the drawings. In 2002, the Taitsukun characters made their debut in Japan. So far, about 500 Reiko Cards ("strictly enforcing the rules" cards) have been published and are the flagship product of the company.
At present, Taitsukun has a series of articles running in 3 major Japanese magazines, Nikkei Business Associe, Weekly SPA!, and FRaU. The articles are intellectual with a slightly erotic sense of humor, accompanied by Taitsukun illustrations
This all leads to wonderful finds for American consumers and e-bay enthusiasts alike! Where else, other than Japanese marketing can you find picture cards, such as the ones below?! Yes, the titles are the original quotes, by the web-comic... I couldn't make these up!
Too late to be sorry.
Anyway...for tonight, I'm single!
Never assume, "the customer is satisfied."
I can't do this! Oh, what the hell, I'll give it a try.
Saving the best for last, IMHO! I couldn't be happier at the time I am posting this... like a kid in a candy store!
Quote of the day, kids :
"I can't do this! Oh, what the hell, I'll give it a try."
